Good vibes at the start of Millennium Youth Camp

A sure sign of the summer, Millennium Youth Camp, started today for the fourth time. During the sunny Sunday, 59 happy campers from all over the world arrived in Finland to enjoy the Camp to remember.

Before Millennium Youth Camp 2013, the 59 prospective campers were asked what they expected the most, and friendship was definitely among the top answers.

The youth aged 16 to 19 had been in contact through the web before the Camp, getting to know each other in social media and working on the project that will be kick started for real tomorrow.

Today, the youth, all inspired and interested in the different fields of science and technology, finally got to meet for the first time in sunny Southern Finland.

The first evening was spent having fun and finding out funny facts about one another, for example, what is the power animal of each camper, and who admits to liking romantic comedies. Last but not least, the Campers rehearsed the Camp song for 2013, Käyn ahon laitaan.

The main organisers of Millennium Youth Camp are Finland’s Science Education Centre LUMA and Technology Academy Finland.
